About Glen Fire Department:
Glen Fire Department proudly protects 3783 people living in an area of 49
square miles. We operate out of two stations that protect a primarily rural
area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer
status.
Glen Fire Department operates two stations
in Glen MS. The deparment has five pieces of apparatus and 25 firefighters.
The department has a mutual aid agreement with the 9 other county
departments and responds to all fire and EMS calls in their district. The
Glen Fire Department is the first county department to provide fire safety
inspections for all business and churches in their district. There is no fee
charged for this service. This program also assist the department in
preplanning and firefighter safety. The Glen Fire Department responds to
approximately 250 calls per year.
Glen Fire Department is proud to be
associated with the Firefighter's Charitable Foundation. They assist
volunteer departments and families displaced by fire. Please check out their
